The inventory is a full and comprehensive description of your property and the contents including their condition.
The inventory is an important part of your letting process and its value should not be under estimated. Without this document you have no evidence of the contents or of their condition in your property and if during your tenancy an item is damaged or removed, there is no way to prove such an item existed or its condition at commencement of the tenancy. An inventory will form an integral part of any dispute, should it arise.
The inventory is compiled a couple of days prior to tenants moving into your property, if your property is managed by a Letting Agent, the keys can be collected from them, or you can be at the property whilst the inventory is being compiled. The property should be clean and ready for occupancy.
Once the inventory is complete it can be emailed or delivered direct to you or your Letting Agent for use at check in. Alternatively, Sally Carter Property Services can also carry out a check in for you.
